Dear Blog,
I want to start writing more personal posts again...like I did back in the day when me and two other people were the only ones who read you. This should be interesting. These are just a few thoughts I've had this week:
-I love that our Life Group leader refers to us as "The Almeidas". I feel so grown up!
-I just learned that you're supposed to wash poultry before cooking it...but not red meat. The kitchen is such a confusing place. My parents broke the news to me. They were stunned. I think they may have felt like they failed me.
-I hope the person who scratched up the passenger side of my car is now on Santa's Naughty List.
-I'm happy that 5 Guys has a grilled cheese veggie sandwich - mmmm.
-I'm thankful for people who take time out of their busy schedules to just "be there" for me and Anderson.
-I think it's so great that our pastor's name is Spike and his wife's' name is Kitty. LOVE that!
-I cried in Walmart the other night. No-not because I hate going there. :) We were buying clothes for a baby girl who's in foster care, and I realized that she has nothing. Nothing. And we have so much. I cried, so we left.
-I can't decide which is stranger: American children believing that Santa Clause brings all the toys on Christmas Eve, or Colombian children believing that the baby Jesus delivers them.
-I always forget if you can heat up milk in the microwave or not. I usually call my Mom and ask. It's weird to me that you can't sit it out and let it get warm, but you can heat it in the microwave...
-I'm really excited about 2010. It's cheesy but every December I get pumped for the New Year.
-I'm taking bass lessons from a hot guy who lives in my house. I use the word "lessons" loosely. I really just want to learn enough to make my own bass cd to play in my car with the windows down. :)
-I haven't finished Christmas shopping.
-I'm grateful for a relaxing weekend with the people in the pictures below...especially the tiny one!
Asher is such a happy little guy!
