Umm... can you say ONLY child? Yes, Kingston's adorable profile even adorns our Halloween decor. I know, I know.

Moving on.

Want to to make your own pumpkin silhouette? It's easy! You can use your child, pet, crazy Grandma... whatever!

DIY - Silhouette Pumpkin:

1. Have your subject stand in front of a solid color wall. And take a profile picture.

2. Open the picture in Photoshop. Using the 'Magic Wand' tool, select the background (the wall in your picture). Choose 'Edit' - 'Cut' to delete the background.

3. Now go to 'Image' - 'Adjustments' - 'Desaturate'. This removes all the color from the image.

4. And finish up with 'Adjustments' - 'Brightness/Contrast.' Lower the brightness and increase the contrast until your image starts looking like a silhouette.

5. Print your cute silhouette and cut it out carefully.

6. Using Modge Podge, glue the image to a pumpkin. I love white pumpkins, but of course you can use whatever color you like. :)

7. Sit back and admire your fab work! Kingston likes to sit in front of the pumpkin and stare at it. He's so vain.

Before: These cute little brass owls (rescued from the thrift store) needed some love.

After: Two coats of spray paint later, and they look much happier hanging out with their friends. Don'tcha think?!?

DIY Fringe T-Shirt Necklace
I made this necklace using a lonely, rarely worn coral t-shirt from my closet and turquoise beads from a bracelet I forgot I even owned. So... it was FREE!

Hey Friends!
Wanted to show you this shirt I wore yesterday, because I made it! Well, Ann Taylor originally made it, but I spruced it up. :) I took a sweater and made a cut all the way up the front. Then sewed 2 ruffles along each side of the cut. That's it! So easy. Too bad it's now officially too hot for sweaters here. I'll have to pull it out again in December-ha!

And... Are you on Pinterest yet? It's a great source of ideas for DIY projects, home decor, fashion... Basically it's another place for me to waste time online! If you're already a member you can follow me here!

Hope you have the best day!

Ummmmm, do I have a wreath problem? I just realized that I make them a lot! And I can't stop. :) This one is hanging on my front door right now and was inspired by my love for all-things-Anthropologie. Here's a little DIY for those of you who share my wreath addiction!

Supplies I used:
Straw Wreath
Pages torn out of a book
Modge Podge
Felt
Ribbon

Step 1: Tear the book pages into strips. You could also use newspaper for this part.
Step 2: Cover each strip in Modge Podge and wrap around the wreath, so that each piece overlaps a little bit.
Step 3: While the wreath is drying make a "flower" embellishment. I used this method with yellow felt and a 1.5 inch ribbon.
Step 4: Once the wreath is completely dry try the ribbon around it (anywhere you want) and hang it proudly!!!
