This was the session that almost didn't happen. As I was driving to Fernandina to meet this excited, expectant couple it started raining. And the closer I got to our meeting spot, the harder it rained. I called Whitney and she sounded upset, but she told me her hubby was watching the radar and thought the rain was moving away fast. So I kept driving towards the black clouds in front of me. It wasn't looking good, and I was feeling bad for Whitney. Doesn't the weather know not to mess with a very pregnant woman?! Then just as I arrived at our spot it stopped raining...completely stopped! Florida weather is so weird, but on this day I was very thankful for it. :) Whitney and Jeff are getting ready to welcome their first child into their home; a sweet little baby boy. It was fun capturing this couples' excitement and hearing all about their plans for their growing family. They even brought their firstborn, Bailey, along for the ride...
Congrats to the parents-to-be!!! And happy weekend to everyone else-whoo hoo!

I once worked with a crazy girl who always squealed and said, "I just want to bite those cheeks," when she saw a cute baby. I always thought she was so weird for saying that. I mean, who bites a baby?! Then I saw Baby Clara's chubby cheeks the other day and finally understood...at least a little. Baby Clara is so sweet! She didn't feel very good on the day of her shoot, but she was still a little trooper. Her mom, Winnie, and I have been friends for a long time (since our JU college days), so it was fun catching up with her and kissing her pretty baby between shots-no biting though! Winnie is one of those friends who I want everyone to meet. If she comes up in conversation I always tell people, "Oh, you'd love her!" And everyone does. She's such a blast to be around. And Clara's wardrobe consultant, her Aunt Maddison, is too. These girls love to laugh, so I love being around them! The weather didn't really cooperate with us, and since Miss Priss was a little sniffle-y we did a big chunk of her session inside. She entertained us thoroughly. :)

Cameron is one hot mama! She's pregnant with her first baby, Chloe Ann, who's expected to make her big appearance this spring. I asked Cam several times what her secret is, because she looks absolutely gorgeous. And she told me she eats healthy and exercises. Huh, what a novel idea! I'll have to keep that in mind. She found me through an old friend, Katherine, who came along for the fun. We spent the afternoon at my house catching up, laughing-LOTS of laughing and shooting a boudoir session for Cameron's husband (that he's going to loooove if I might just say), but I won't be sharing those on my family-friendly PG-rated blog. :) Here are a few that I do have permission to share though...

Like many of you, I'm frantically working this week to check off my to-do list, so I can relax over the long weekend! We'll get there...eventually. Right??!! In the meantime, I have to share a few images from a shoot I did with the cutest little brother and sister duo last week. I took Sydney's pictures last year, and she was one of the funniest, smartest little girls I'd ever worked with. She doesn't miss anything. On the way to the shoot last week she asked her mom if Mrs. Lyndsay would be wearing a hat like last time. "Last time" was a year ago. How in the world did she remember that? Smart little thing! (And yes, I was wearing a hat-part of my Saturday uniform). It was fun seeing this family again, but Sydney wasn't the only star this time. She happily shared the spotlight with her new baby brother, Owen. He is such a sweet baby. And his big sister takes her role very seriously. She held Owen and showed me how she helps her Mommy and Daddy with him. She even patted his back and kissed him when he got a little fussy. Too cute!
I wrote a 3 in the sand and told her that's how old she is. She said, "No. I'm 3 and a half!"
These shots KILL ME! Is she the cutest "little mommy" or what?! And just for fun...a few favorites from last year's session:
Okay, back to work. :)

I have a mild case of baby fever lately and being around sweet little ones like Bryton really doesn't help! His Aunt Amanda is one of my favorite people to work with, so I was thrilled when she told me her family was coming from New Jersey to visit and wanted to schedule a session. Bryton just turned ONE, so it was perfect timing. He's a precious little guy with gorgeous baby blues and oh-so-squeezable cheeks! Go ahead-look at these shots and tell me you didn't want to reach through the screen and squeeze him. Of course his adorable cousin Caroline (who I think watches America's Next Top Model) was pulled in for a few shots too. The girl is so camera shy. I think her parents really need to work on that with her!!
