Marie and Ryan planned an amazing wedding in the lush gardens at the Cummer Museum. They had every little detail worked out. Then Ryan called me the day of the wedding and said everything was being moved inside because of the nasty weather. Marie was upset. I felt terrible for them. The crew quickly started making changes to accommodate an in-door ceremony. But Ryan kept checking the radar. Then he made a risky decision. The ceremony would be outside just like Marie wanted. We would all just hope the rain held off. Miraculously, it did! And the wedding turned out beautiful. Even with all the last-minute changes!

Venue: The Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens

Flowers and Design: Riverside Flowers and Events

Catering: The Chef's Garden

Cakes: Metro Custom Cakes

Band: Scott Giddens (featuring Linda Cole)

I have so many favorite images from the day. Here are just a few:

Isn't she gorgeous?!

So funny to see "product" in the guys' dressing room!

Ryan and Marie's daughters. The one on the right wanted to make silly faces in every picture-hilarious!

B-L-I-N-G!

I know it's all the rage right now for couples to see each other before the wedding, but I still love when their eyes meet for the first time during the ceremony. Look at her face!

They included their girls in the ceremony.

He's usually not a smiley person. He was that day. :)

Longest wedding kiss in history. Seriously!

Their happiness was contagious.

Yes, the wedding cake was fab, but can we talk about the Groom's Cake for a minute?!

Anderson was in love.

Real string.

Wood grain-are you serious?!

Even the signature was dead on. And to top it off...it was yummy!

Cute kiddos were all over the place.

EVERYONE was singing along with the incredible band. The singer is related to Nat King Cole. His niece, I think?

I have a secret. Every time we shoot a wedding I have a favorite guest. This time it was Ryan's dad. He was just the sweetest, friendliest guy. At the end of the night we were standing near the candy table, and he heard me tell Anderson that Sixlets were my favorite childhood candy. So he filled up two take home candy buckets and gave them to me! Sorry if you didn't get any Sixlets...:)

CONGRATS Ryan and Marie!!!

Here's a sneak peak from Ryan and Marie's beautiful wedding...because I'm scared the bride is going to show up on my doorstep if I don't post something! So many favorites from this wedding. Not sure how I'll choose images for a full blog post. It will be a long one!
More to come.
LOTS more to edit.
Must get back to it. :)

Oh, one more thing-Ryan had the best Groom's Cake I've ever seen. I caught Anderson drooling on it. Just wait!

One of my goals for attending the WPPI conference this year was to end my search for the perfect album company. It's so hard to choose one by searching online. They all look good on the computer screen, but I wanted to see and feel them up close. Anderson and I had walked around the tradeshow floor for several hours when we saw the KISS Albums booth. I immediately knew they were the ones, and it wasn't just the sleek, mod white couches they had everywhere. Or the pillows in the same material and colors that their albums come in-Those did push me over the edge though. Anderson actually told me to calm down, and if you know us well, that is a reversal of our normal roles. I was that excited! But it was their tagline that sold me: "The world's simplest book company." Stylish, fab and...simple? I'll take it! The albums come in 3 sizes and 7 colors. I forgot to upload the picture of my color swatch. Oh well, maybe I‘ll do that later.

Album design was overwhelming and frustrating for me until I started using KISS Albums. There were too many decisions I had to make before and too many choices for the client. They got overwhelmed and I practically had a panic attack every time someone asked for an album. Not anymore! I decided to post some shots of a recent KISS album I designed. Maybe I'll make you a convert too!

The albums come with these adorable covers.

They keep the soft leather from getting damaged AND they're pretty!

This album is 10"x10" in Voluptuous Black.

The 2mm thick pages lay flat-I love that!

The cover again and the front page of this album.

A black and white spread. (Unusual for me!)

They always send these fun little KISS logo pins. :)

PS-Does anyone else use KISS? Thoughts?

When I first heard that Shelly was getting married I was a little bit upset. Let me explain: Her sister Kari and I grew up together, and I thought of Shelly as the little sister I never had. So naturally, I always wanted her to marry my little brother. Makes sense, right? Well, it did to me! But that all changed as soon as I met her fiance, Justin. He is such a great guy, and they are truly a perfect match. I don't think anyone could've picked a better guy for Shelly to spend her life with. Seriously, who else would actually do this with her? I love how God brings people together! They had a gorgeous wedding in Callahan, Florida. And Shelly's Granny and Papa (along with their army of helpers) did all the decorating. Those two should really go into business-it was that beautiful!

Shelly and Justin, Thank you so much for letting me and Anderson capture your wedding day. It was so much fun being with the two of you and all your family and friends. God has big plans for you, and it's a privilege to be able to sit back and watch what He does through your life together.

Enjoy newlywed-ness!!!!!!!!!
