Heather and Mike are totally conquering the long distance thing. They're living in two different cities (he's in the Navy) right now and planning a wedding in a third city. And yet somehow they've managed to get everything together with about six months to spare. I'm officially impressed! They were both able to come to Jacksonville a few weekends ago, so we met up for their engagement pictures. This was my first time meeting Mike, but Heather and I go way back. We worked together at Victoria's Secret during college. Oh the memories! I was already excited about shooting their wedding, and now that I've seen them together I really can't wait. :)

I didn't touch up her eyes at all-Gorgeous!

Marie and Ryan are hot! Really hot.

We went to high school together, but they didn't date back then. So when Marie told me they were getting married I was surprised! I haven't seen either of them in almost a decade, but as soon as they got out of their car to meet me last week, I remembered one thing about them...they're two of the most effortlessly cool people ever. They both have rock star style and the warmest personalities. Marie is kind and eager to make people feel at ease around her, and Ryan is sweet and funny and a lot more talkative than I remembered!

I got pretty excited when Ryan said he brought his guitar along for some shots. After living with Anderson for a year I'm starting to get the whole "guys and their guitars" thing, so it was really fun! Marie obviously understands too and even posed for a few shots with it. :)

Marie and Ryan, thank you so much for letting me be part of this exciting time with you. I can't wait for your beautiful wedding this summer!

(Not-So) Fun Fact-We were just starting to shoot in an alley when we all smelled something really, really bad. I looked down and realized I had stepped in the biggest pile of crap ever. (That's what happens when you never pay attention to where you're walking!) It was disgusting, and I'm still not convinced that it wasn't human! I tried scrapping it off my shoe in the grass but realized it was useless. The awful smell wasn't going anywhere. Realizing I was out of options, I kicked off my shoes and left them on the side of the street in downtown Jax. Ryan said some homeless person is probably enjoying them now!

They say the third time's a charm, and in Courtney and Chris' case I think the saying rings true. This poor duo had already modeled for two engagement sessions when Court contacted me to schedule a shoot. Girls, can you even imagine telling your fiance that you scheduled ONE MORE engagement photo session?! Despite his initial hesitation, Chris was a great sport and even had a few ideas that I just loved. Check out the "mug shots" below. That was his genius plan! My goal for this session was to give them some absolutely stellar images, and you know what? I think the three of us made a pretty good team!! I'm now looking forward to the wedding even more. :)

Fun Fact: Chris is in the military, so this cute couple is moving to Germany after their wedding. What an adventure!

Courtney and I had a blast during their shoot last week, and I think Chris even enjoyed it a little. :) Especially when we took their "mug shots". Can't wait to edit these, so I can share more. Hope you're all having a fabulous Monday!
