Ready or not...things are about to get even crazier around here!

Last week I got to work with the Miss Mandarin High Schoolpageant contestants again! Every year the girls have head shots taken before the competition. The pictures are used to choose Miss Photogenic and are in the program that's handed out on the big night. I love working with these girls, and I'm convinced that every female who attends this school is gorgeous. Frankly, it's not fair. :)

And a few shots of last years' winner before she reluctantly hands over her sparkly crown. :)

Oh...PS-Thanks for participating in the Q and A on Formspring. So far I'm really enjoying it!

Anderson and I love our Life Group at church. LOVE IT! Right now we're going through a study on marriage, and our leaders challenged us to do the Great Date Experiment. So last week we went on Great Date #1. It was so much fun. :) We brought the camera, because when we first started dating we took pictures all the time!

We learned some fun stuff about each other. Like, if we had to pick a different city for us to live in, we'd both choose NYC. And we played "Would You Rather" while we waited on our dinner...I love that game!

It was refreshing to do something different and take the time to really focus on our relationahip and talk about the areas that make God happy and the areas that we need to work on. If you want to participate in the Great Date Experiment, you can print the dates, starting with #1 right here. Try it!

In other news, I received an abnormally large amount of photography/business questions in my inbox over the weekend. We all know I'm not good about responding to them or posting answers here on my blog. So I've decided to give in and try Formspring to answer a few of them each week. Maybe this will be more efficient than trying to keep up with FAQ posts. Fell free to submit one. This should be fun!

Jordan and Nick's wedding in a nutshell:

-A hassle-free day that ran like clock work. No surprise, because Jordan planned it!
-The girls: a full day of pampering
-The guys: all day relaxing followed by a grand total of about 30 minutes getting ready (boys!)
-Gorgeous weather
-An intimate ceremony; short and sweet
-Lots of laughter and excitement; very little nerves
-Funniest best man speech EVER
-A "special" dance by the groom
-Beautiful details
-Hilarious parents-both sides.
-THE CAKE oh. my. goodness. So good!
-Peterbrooke chocolate and a bunch of bubbles

We enjoy all the weddings we shoot, but we seriously LOVED Jordan, Nick, their families and the wedding party. Talk about fun people!
I wish I would have videoed most of the reception. :)

Congrats Newlyweds! We wish you many happy years together!!!

Something old: Grandma's dinner ring
Something new: David Yurman earrings from the Matron of Honor (Bride's sister)

Jordan had lots of garters to choose from!

The 3 shots above were during the Best Man's speech. He was so funny!

Off to St. Lucia!
