Yesterday was stressful. It was one of those days with a long to-do list and not enough time to check everything off. I talked to Anderson around lunchtime and vented a little. Okay, a lot. He listened patiently until I calmed down then told me he would help me with anything I needed. Even though he can't read my mind (and tells me this frequently) he got the picture: I needed to relax. So last night when I came home from a beach photoshoot and started to drop my sandy, wet pants by the backdoor, I looked up and saw this note:

Of course I circled yes! Anderson had cooked a yummy meal with all of my favorites, even the little green peas that he hates. I'm starting to think that maybe he can read my mind; he just doesn't want to admit it.

I love the picture on the right. It shows just one of the many reasons I love my husband. I took it in an airport, and as you can see he doesn't have a care in the world!

Anderson and I had a blast attending Jay and Danielle's wedding this weekend. It was so nice to be guests and not have to do anything except have fun! We didn't even bring a camera. Theirs was one of the most beautiful weddings I've been to in a long time. Cassie from Flaire Weddings and Events made sure everything was perfect. I actually got to finally meet one of my "internet friends", Ali, who was working at the wedding also. It was so good to finally meet her in person. Let's just say I was really excited when I saw her and ran across a crowded room shouting her name! We also got to chat with Scarlett and Mark who were photographing the gorgeous event. I remembered when we got home that I had never posted the pictures I took at one of Danielle's showers earlier this year, so today seems like a good time to do it. Danielle and Jay we are so happy for you!!!

They say the third time's a charm, and in Courtney and Chris' case I think the saying rings true. This poor duo had already modeled for two engagement sessions when Court contacted me to schedule a shoot. Girls, can you even imagine telling your fiance that you scheduled ONE MORE engagement photo session?! Despite his initial hesitation, Chris was a great sport and even had a few ideas that I just loved. Check out the "mug shots" below. That was his genius plan! My goal for this session was to give them some absolutely stellar images, and you know what? I think the three of us made a pretty good team!! I'm now looking forward to the wedding even more. :)

Fun Fact: Chris is in the military, so this cute couple is moving to Germany after their wedding. What an adventure!

When I said, "I do" to Anderson one year ago I had no idea what the months following would entail. I was sufficiently warned that the first year is the hardest and prepared myself for disagreements over all the hot topics. You know: money, work, sex, communication, what to make for dinner, whether or not we should buy a dog, etc. :) But I'm so thankful that I can honestly say it was much easier than I expected. Don't get me wrong, we've had our share of arguments, I mean lively discussions! What else can you expect with two highly-opinionated people living under the same roof?! But I couldn't have imagined a happier, more joyful experience than this year. Our FIRST year!

We celebrated in Orlando over the weekend. We're horrible at taking self portraits. It always makes me laugh!

Left-A card I made for Anderson. Right-Anderson at our hotel in Downtown Orlando.

Trying to put our Ikea purchases in the Mini Cooper. He did it too! Everyone was staring as we pulled into the loading area with that tiny car. :)

Left-Me on the road. Right-Lyrics from a Ben Harper song. They're so true.

My mom is simply the coolest mom ever. She had this little mini replica made of our wedding cake. We were really excited about eating the top tier of our cake on our anniversary, but she was worried that it would be gross. She was right. This cake was much tastier than the original!
