The #1 product question I get is: "What is a storyboard?"

This is a storyboard!
It's a collage of pictures from your session mounted on foamboard. You pick the images and style, and I design the 12"x12" board. They are fully customizable and look really good displayed on an easel. So, now you know. :)

It's time...

to talk about Christmas!

I know.

Of course you're not ready for this. You don't even want to think about it yet, but if you're planning to schedule an '09 Christmas Session with me now is the time. Why the rush? Well, yesterday I was looking at my calendar and realized I only have SIX slots available from now until November. Yes, I said 6. Yikes! Recently, I've had to turn people away, because they wanted to book last-minute sessions. Ugh-I hate doing that! I really wish I could accommodate everyone, so I'm trying to come up with some creative ideas that will allow me to work with more of you this fall. One option is to schedule a full day of mini-sessions in November if there's enough interest. Let me know if that sounds like something you and your family want to do, and we'll talk details.

Looking forward to a crazy, fun Christmas Season with all of you!

No-This picture will not make an appearance on our Christmas cards this year, but I do love fisheye-in-the-car shots. :)

My mom has always made a HUGE deal about birthdays. I basically grew up thinking mine should be a national holiday. So, I wasn't surprised to find out we would be celebrating her big 5-0 day at least three times!

Party #1
Some of her good friends threw a party for her and another friend, Paula, who share July birthdays. They also both turned 50 this year!

Mom and Paula both got their own walker just in case...you know, because of all the excitement.

She kept opening jewelry and putting it on-hilarious!

Presents=Fun.

Paula got a set of false teethe that were just a tad scary. :)

Julie T. singing a very "event appropriate" song!

The youngest member of the party crowd. Isn't she a cutie?!

And the famous Gale R. I love this crazy woman! Everyone should grow up with a neighbor like her. :)

The whole party group.

Party #2 was a surprise.
Mom has taught Sunday School for as long as I can remember. The girls in her class decided to surprise her and did a great job.

She had no idea!

The cake was yummy AND cute.

She's a diva. Oh yeah, there was a piņata!

Drooling over the adorable cake.

And you always play pin-the-tale-on-the-donkey at 50th birthday parties, right?!

Me with the Birthday Queen.

This is a little something fun I made for her. I got the idea from the Centsational Girl Blog. Here are the details:
I bought a headboard from a thrift store. The owner made me buy the whole bed, but I only took the footboard with me. He thought I was crazy. It was $9.00. I brought it home, cleaned it, spray painted it yellow, and then painted the front with chalkboard paint. So easy!

Here's the finished product. She loved it!

I thought it would be cute on her front porch, so we can all leave her and Pops inappropriate messages...I mean, Bible verses. ;)

Party #3 was a family dinner last night. I didn't take many pictures, because I was having too much fun. Translation: because I was stuffing my face!

Happy 50th Mom!!!!!!!!!!

Megan is the other half of the senior-girl duo I shot last week. BTW: I think it's a great idea for seniors to schedule their photoshoots together. Everything's more fun with friends, right?! Megan is such a trip. She cracked me up the whole time! And I'm not saying she's "boy crazy" or anything, but she did manage to talk some surfers into posing with her for a few shots. :) You'll see...
